Fannin County artist PATTY KREIDER received the M. Graham Award for her painting "Honeysuckle Vine" in this year’s VAST 37th Annual Juried Art Exhibition, held in Denton, TX. The exhibit can be seen at the Center for the Visual Arts, in Denton, Texas, through June 2, 2005. Thirty-four states across the US were represented in this year’s show. Cash and merchandise awards totaled $9,000.

Only 75 works of art, of the 652 submitted from all over the continental US, were selected for this year’s show. Of these 75, only 35 received award recognition. This year’s juror was nationally known sculptor, Jesus Moroles.
