All-American Scholar

The United States Achievement Academy announced today that Justin Weeks from Dodd City, Texas has been named an All-American Scholar.

The USAA has established the All-American Scholar Award Program to offer deserved recognition to superior students who excel in the academic disciplines. The All-American Scholars must earn a 3.3, or higher, grade point average. Only scholars selected by a school instructor, counselor, or other qualified sponsor are accepted. These scholars are also eligible for other awards given by the USAA.

United World College-USA Announces Graduate From Bonham

The Board and President of United World College-USA are pleased to announce the graduation of the Class of 2005, Wednesday, May 25 in Montezuma, New Mexico.

Jerome "Axle" Brown is the son of proud parents Jerome "Kelly" Brown and Deneen Givens-Dickerson. We are pleased to announce that Axle has been offered a full scholarship at John Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.

Axle is considering becoming a cardiologist or a biology scientist.

East Texas Baptist University Announces Spring Graduates

Spring Commencement ceremonies for East Texas Baptist University were held on Saturday, May 7, 2005, in Baker Auditorium of Rogers Spiritual Life Center. Dr. Bruce Tankersley, Professor of Religion, delivered the charge to the 159 graduates.

Farm Bureau Award Goes to Skylar Hunnicutt

David Hembree President of Fannin County Farm Bureau presented Skylar Heath Hunnicutt with the JT (Red) Woodson Scholarship on May 9, 2005 at the Bonham High School Awards Ceremony.
