The Family Life Center’s KOOL Lunch Program is coming back again for it’s 7^th summer! The FREE summer sack lunch program for children Head Start through 6^th grade will run from May 31^st until August 5^th. All children that wish to receive a sack lunch through the KOOL Lunch Program must be registered with the Family Life Center. Cans for Critters
We are asking the community to save their aluminum cans to help raise funds to allow the Critter Corner facility to help as many Pets in Need as possible. The Ladonia Chamber of Commerce will have the annual 20 miles of sales on June 4, 2005. Remember this date. Needing sellers and buyers. This event will be in Bugtussel, Ladonia, Pecan Gap and Ben Franklin. Mark the calendar for this date. You might find a treasure or something that your have been looking for, for a long time. Benefit Sale

The friends and family of Steve Oakley are having a benefit sale for Steve and his family since he was hurt in a major car wreck on December 30^th. They are surviving on a 1 member income. Once again it’s time for Summertime Art Lessons at Valley Creek Studio near Leonard. "These classes are designed for ages 10 and up and will include fun projects like hand made tiles, texture rubbings, and mono-prints," says artist Katherine Kluger. Lessons start Tuesday, June 14^th, and will be offered at various times both day and evening to fit into busy summertime schedules.   Most of our clothing prices range from 50 cents to $2.00 with featured items half price daily.  We also have great prices at our house wares store.

  Our non-profit program benefits the Leonard food bank as well as many other community projects.

The annual Nickie Williams Memorial Blood Drive will be held on Wednesday, June 1^st from 3:30p.m. –8:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church at 818 N. Center Street in Bonham. Those that are able to give blood will receive a free T-shirt. Please come and give blood if you can.

Sam Rayburn Elementary is exploring the possibility of beginning a half-day Pre-Kindergarten program for children who are four years of age.
